NEW!!!! Fact released on website:
Tina Turner (Anna Mae Bullock) was born on the Poindexter Farm land located on Forked Dear Road which is also State Route 180. State Route 180 is located off Highway 19 or State Route 19 at the Nutbush, Tennessee City Limits and Nutbush gin. The Poindexter Farm house and birthplace house is no longer at the site and was located about 1/4 mile from the gin; Tina was raised in the Flagg Grove Community on Elm Tree Road in Nutbush where she attended elementary school. Flagg Grove School
The now vacant land which was called the Poindexter Farm from 1939, once cradled the Queen of Rock and Roll 2 years in a small house occupied by her father who was overseer; The property has acquired several owners since her birth and privacy issues were stressed. Birthplace and residence information verified through 1992 interview between Sharon Norris and Zelma Currie-Bullock.
